This official film for the International Year of Forests is a 7-minute film made up of aerial images of forests worldwide with narration describing many of the ways that humans, and all life, depend on forests and benefit from them.  It stresses the crucial role provided by forest ecosystems in the entire earth's ecology.  For those of us managing forests, this is truly the BIG picture.

This film will be shown during a plenary session of the Ninth Session of United Nations Forum on Forests (24 January - 4 February 2011) in New York.
