Join the Illinois Forestry Association for a field tour to learn more about the forest management techniques that are being conducted today to keep Illinois forests healthy and productive! This field tour will be held at Principia College within part of its 2,600 acre campus. The event is free and open to the public, but preregistration is required.

When: This field tour will be held on Wednesday, May 19th from 5:00pm - 6:30pm.

Program Schedule:

5:00 pm - 6:30 pm        Dr. John Lovseth - Management Field Tour

Learn about the forest management techniques being utillized at Principia College’s 2,600 acre campus, such as silvicultural techniques, prescribed burns, and invasive species control techniques. Also, get an update on the exciting timber rattlesnake conservation efforts being made on Principia College’s beautiful forests and bluffs.

Note: We can only accept 50 attendees for this field tour. Principia College asks that you will fill out a pre-screen document which can be filled out at:
