This talk by a Vancouver architect predicts that wood is the best solution to urban housing challenges.  With 47% of greenhouse gases coming from the building industry, and the world's urban population growing from 50% to 70%, our best recourse is to use sustainably-grown, carbon-storing, incredibly strong wood panels to construct tall buildings.  This video doesn't complete the link to how this might impact woodland owners, but it does serve as the foundation piece of the larger puzzle.
