Webinar: More Income from your Property
When
06/10/2014
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location
Internet
Based on the publication, Forest Landowner's Guide to Evaluating and Choosing a Natural Resource-Based Enterprise, this webinar will introduce ideas that will lead potential business owners through an evaluation process to better their chances of launching a successful natural resource-based business.
Each year, woodland owners consider starting new enterprises to make the most of their wildlife, water, cropland, and forest resources. Given the sagging economy, the need to produce some income from the land is compelling. Some landowners are traditional farmers who want to diversify their operations. Others are new property owners in search of a sustainable, long-term source of income or established landowners who want to start a hobby business. Unfortunately, many such endeavors are less than successfulundefinedor fail altogetherundefinedbecause the landowner lacked information to an informed decision; had insufficient technical, business, or marketing skills; or had a shortsighted view of the enterprise. Presented by Jonathan Kays, Extension Specialist, Natural Resources, University of Maryland Extension.
Approved for 1.0 CFE credit, Category 2.
