DuPage County: Illinois Tree Climbing Championships

The Illinois Tree Climbing Championship is being held at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, Illinois. This event is open to the public, and families are invited. Lunch is available for a small charge.

Climbing events include: Work Climb, Aerial Rescue, Secured Footlock, Belayed Speed Climb, Throw Line and the Masters Challenge. The Illinois Arborist Association will take the first 25 men and 5 women that sign up.

The men will compete in the 5 events and the top 4 finishers will compete in the Master's Challenge to decide the champion.

The women will compete in 5 events; work climb, throw line, belayed speed climb, secured foot lock and aerial rescue. The woman with the most accrued points after competing in the 5 preliminary events will be crowned the champion of the women's division.

Individual prizes include:
Men:
1st place: over $1,000 in prizes donated by ArborMaster 2nd place: $300 cash
3rd place: $200 cash
4th place: $100 cash
Women:
1st place over $1,000 in prizes donated by ArborMaster 2nd place: $300 cash
3rd place: $200 cash

*Competitor Registration forms will be mailed out on March 1st and will be posted on March 8th, 2013
