Kaskaskia Watershed Assoc. Summit

The Kaskaskia Watershed Association’s 23rd Annual Summit will be held on March 2, 2026, (9:00 am - 2:00 pm) at the Mariner’s Village Resort Conference Center in Carlyle, IL. The theme for this year’s Summit is “2026 – The Path Ahead”.

The Kaskaskia Watershed Association are in the process of updating the water supply plan with HeartLands Conservancy. Over the summer and into the winter, a drought has put the water resources in peril. Forest tree leaf loss and accelerated tree decline, and death has been documented in the Watershed. This year’s Summit will address these very important and timely issues. There will be updates regarding nutrient loss, streambank erosion, and updates from the United States Army Corps of Engineers and the Kaskaskia Regional Port District.
