Coles County: Chainsaw Safety - Level 1

This event has been cancelled due to the low level of interest.
The Illinois Tree Farm Committee has partnered with the University of Illinois Extension to offer a six-hour beginning-level chainsaw safety training course. This is for Illinois landowners, homeowners, and college students.
Course goals are to teach a basic competency in the safe operation of chainsaws and to introduce participants to the open-face directional felling method and the five-step felling plan.
Advanced registration and pre-payment is required. Lunch will be provided. Registration costs $100 for Tree Farm members and $125 for anyone else, and is limited to 12 participants.

This training will be held at the Rollie and Lois Spaniol Tree Farm - from Charleston, IL, off of Lincoln Highway (Route 16), south on 4th Street to County Road 100 N, turn east for 1.5 miles to farm.
