Forestry Field Day - Dixon Springs - Beginning Forest Landowner Short Course

This forestry field day will be held at the Dixon Springs Agricultural Center in Simpson, IL on Oct 28th from 9:30 am – 3:15 pm.  Registration cost is $15. Lunch will be provided on site for all registrants.  Water and snacks will also be available.

• 11:00-12:00  Prescribed Fire, Zack Stawicki, Southern Illinois Prescribed Burn Association
• 12:00-12:45   Lunch
• 12:45-2:15   Introduction to Chainsaw Milling - Kevin Rohling, University of Illinois
• 2:15-3:15   Managed Forest Tour

This field day is part of the Beginning Forest Landowner Short Course, which includes a 4-hour virtual class and two other field days.
