Join the Illinois Forestry Association and University of Illinois Extension Forestry for a virtual tree identification program! This program, split into two sessions, will be free and open to the public. Both sessions will be conducted via zoom.
Session A:
Illinois Native Tree Identification: Starting With The Basics
Thursday, December 15th, 2:00 - 3:00 pm central time
Taryn Bieri - University of Illinois Extension Forestry Technician
Session A will cover the basics of tree identification as well as introduce ten common native trees.
Session B:
Illinois Winter Tree Identification of Native Trees
Monday, December 19th, 2:00 - 3:30 pm central time
Chris Evans - University of Illinois Extension Forester
Session B will cover winter tree identification of native trees, including many trees that are commonly planted in yards and urban landscapes.
