This year’s annual meeting of the Shawnee Resource Conservation and Development Area (SRCD) is open for registration! This year’s meeting will be a virtual (Zoom) meeting (details on how to register below). We’ll hear updates from the SRCD and the contractors leading the work of projects such as Let the Sun Shine In!, Southern Illinois Prescribed Burn Association, River to River Cooperative Weed Management Area, and Forest Restoration Support Team, and awards will be given to partners instrumental in executing the work of the SRCD. We will also hear a keynote presentation from Jeff Hoover from the Illinois Natural History Survey speaking about the effects of forest management on forest birds.
