Stephenson County: Woodland Tour

Site has 26 acres of mixed hardwoods.  Discussion will cover landowner objectives, forest practices, wildlife recommendations, recreational activities, cost share assistance, and projected costs.

Leading the tour will be consulting forester Ralph Eads, retired IDNR district forester.

Woods are located in the northeastern part of Stephenson County, the tour starts at the Donald Lee Miller woods located on the east side of North Davis Road.

Located 1/4 mile south of Walnut Grove Road and appprox. 2 miles north of Lake Summerset, on Davis Road. Watch for Stephenson County SWCD Event signs along North Davis Road.

Wear appropriate clothing and shoes. Bring insect repellant.
