Sangamon County: Tree Identification Workshop

Bring a sack lunch and come out to the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Gardens [2301 E. Lake Drive; Springfield, IL] to learn the techniques for figuring out the kind of tree you are looking at. A $5 registration fee gets you a Tree Finder booklet that will be used in conducting tree id exercises. Professional foresters and Tree Farmers will be on hand to guide participants though the process. A tour of a walnut plantation planted in the 1930's will also be featured.
