We are kicking of a new grant program from the US Forest Service about restoring the urban forest in metro east communities. The meeting will feature Meridith McAvoy Perkins as the keynote speaker. Meridith will be speaking about the demand for high quality, cost effective, municipal tree management solutions to challenges such as winter storm recovery, emerald ash borer preparedness, hazard tree removals, tree inventory, and new plantings. We also have Marty Kemper, retired IDNR Biologist, coming to speak about new issues being observed with leaf cupping on trees throughout southern Illinois, potentially caused by pesticide drift. It's a huge issue that needs more attention in this region. Click HERE to register Click HERE to view the Flyer
