This just in... Sorry for the short notice. Registration closes Thursday evening, September 17th, for this Friday afternoon program taking place at Kaskaskia College in Centralia.
Topics will include how to develop a good forest management plan, becoming familiar with programs and resources important to the small woodlot owner, and information on the types of invasive species in woodlots and how to control them.
Speakers will include Mark Koch, IDNR District Forester covering forest management strategies, Gary Gaubatz, NRCS District Conservationist, covering USDA programs and resources, and Kevin Rohling, Coordinator for the River to River Cooperative Weed Management Area, covering invasive weed ID and control.
