Southern Illinois Forestry Field Day

Join the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and a team of experts for a hands-on seminar focused on providing resources to local landowners. This field day will alert landowners to the possibilities available to assist them in making wise decisions about their forested land. Topics will include forest inventory and products, management goals and techniques, invasive species I.D. and management, and a portable sawmill demonstration.

Lunch will be provided by The Great Boars of Fire. This seminar is free and open to the public, however space is limited to the first 50 registrants. Call the Giant City State Park Visitor’s Center at 618-457-4836 to register.

We’ll see you at the White Barn located at the Trail of Tears State Forest!
