The Illinois Prescribed Fire Council will hold their Winter Symposium on February 6 and 7, 2018. The featured speaker will be Dr. Greg Nowacki, Forest Ecologist with the US Forest Service in Milwaukee, WI. The title of his presentation will be "Current Efforts to Re-integrate Prescibed Burning Across Central Hardwood Forests."

On February 6, the program runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes a full day of presentations. The following day from 9 a.m. to noon there will be a field trip to local fire management sites. CFE credits will be available.
Illinois SAF will hold a brief meeting following the presentations on Tuesday.
